2010 Melges 32 Northeast Regatta - Full Throttle wins the event

(sail-world)  2010 Layline Oakcliff Northeast Regatta Champions- John Porter on Full Throttle and team comprised of tactician Jonathan McKee, Andy Burdick, Fritz Lanzinger, sons Corbet and Vincent Porter along with Kelly McKenna and Matthew Woodsworth are 2010 Layline Oakcliff Northeast Regatta Champions. Porter finished the event a solid six points ahead of heavy opposition. Long-time Melges 32 owner Kip Meadows on roXanne with Andy Horton on tactics really came on strong Saturday to complete the regatta in second.  READ MORE

Newport Bermuda Race - Governor tours Newport division winners

(sail-world)  His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda Sir Richard Gozney and Lady Gozney spent the mid-morning today [Thursday] on a tour of three of five division winning boats following the 47th Newport Bermuda Race. The Queen’s representative in Bermuda went aboard Carina, winner of Class 3 and the St. David’s Lighthouse Division, then boarded Noonmark VI, winner of Class 9 and the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Division followed by a tour of Clover III, winner of Class 13 and the 38-boat Cruiser Division.  READ MORE
