RFPNW Confussion.
I hold STCW95 and AB Unlimited with RFPNW (Lookout Duties Only). I had to go to school twice due to lock of communications about hose issues surroundingge RFPN Endorsements.
I am getting ready to do my assessments.
During my recent short voyage I want to do assessments on the ship of 488 GT. But their was plenty of confusions among seaman on the ship. That is why I have issued those questions, that can't be found anywhere else. Maybe your answers would help to solve the mystery.
Questions:
1. Is there a time limit for sea time? Meaning if I finish Class of RFPNW on June 13th, 2009 and I received Certificate of RFPNW (Lookout Duties Only) good for one year. Can I use my passed sea time? if I do my Ship assessments on July 18th, 2009?
2. Does Coast Guard Representative has to be present during my my assessments?
3. Does II-Officer or Up has to have Endorsements on their STCW95 as a " Assessor" to Sign off the assessments?
4. What documents besides Application for Endorsement I have to sent to Coast Guard?
5. I have 101 6hr watches last year on the ship of 98 GT. 2 watches on ship of 488 GT, do my watches count on 98 GT or half only? What about if I have a sea time but no watches sign off?
6. How many watches I have to have signed off if I am AB Unlimited by Coast Guard in 2007 February.
Thank you so kindly for listening.
Sincerely,.
CK AB Unl.
